Mindful Yoga Practice - Set Your Intentions

Yoga isn't just about poses on the mat. Yoga is a practice for living life. And in this Mindful Monday, I share with you the practice of being intentional. Making time to set your intentions puts energy and attention on those things that you really want for our life so that you can draw them into your life. Ask yourself, "What do I really want?"

Previously, I introduced the concept of the Yoga Trinity which consists of 3 mindful yoga practices.

The first one is the art of celebrating you. Click here if you missed it.

The second part of the Yoga Trinity is the practice of being in gratitude. Click here if you missed it.

And the third part is about being intentional by specifically making time to get clear about your desires.

This practice is about putting your intentions and your dreams out into the universe so you can draw them in and make them manifest in your life. This practice uses the law of attraction. By focusing on those things that are truly important to you, you can attract them to your life.

In this daily practice, think about your biggest desires. This isn't the time to figure out the logistics and the details. The hows and the whys aren’t important in this practice. In this practice let your imagination go wild. Connect to your heart without a filter. Listen to what comes to the surface. This is the time to really acknowledge what you want for yourself.

When thinking about your desires, consider your relationships, your home, your job, your relationship with money, your personal growth. Consider all aspects of your life. What do you want for yourself?

Do this practice each and every day. Practice celebrating your wins, expressing gratitude, and being clear with your desires and those things that you want to affirm and draw in to your life. Having the discipline to do the Yoga Trinity every day can truly change the way you see the world which can change the way you live your life.
