You’re In! Let’s Begin Your Chair Yoga Practice

I’m so glad you’re here.

This series was created to help you feel stronger, steadier, calmer, and more connected to your body—without having to get down on the floor.

Find a sturdy chair without wheels, wear something comfortable, and give yourself permission to move at your own pace.

You don’t have to do everything perfectly. You don’t even have to do everything.

Listen to your body, choose the options that feel right today, and begin where you are.

Small note: Bookmark this page so you can return whenever you’re ready to practice.

Start Here: Your 12–15 Minute Full-Body Chair Yoga Practice

This is your main practice and the best place to begin.

We’ll gently move the body, connect with the breath, and explore movements that support mobility, strength, and greater ease.

Take a moment to notice how you feel.

You may feel more open, calmer, more awake, or more connected to yourself. Small, consistent moments of movement can make a meaningful difference.

You can return to this practice as often as you’d like.

You Don’t Have to Practice Alone

Practicing with a video is a wonderful way to begin. Practicing live gives you something more: personal guidance, a dependable routine, and a community that is happy to see you.

I’d love to invite you to experience a free live Chair Yoga class on Zoom.

During class:

  • I’ll guide you through every part of the practice.

  • You’ll receive options for different bodies and abilities.

  • There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else.

  • You are welcome to keep your camera on or off. When I can see you, I can offer more personal options, and it helps us feel more connected.

  • You’ll be welcomed into a friendly, supportive group.

My students practice from different places, but we are still a community. We know one another, encourage one another, and notice when someone returns.

Practice from home and come exactly as you are.

Continue with These Short Bonus Practices

Choose the practice that feels most helpful today. You do not need to complete them all at once.

Bonus Practice 1: Build Everyday Strength

Standing up and sitting down are movements we use throughout our lives. In this short practice, we’ll explore this functional movement with awareness and support.

Bonus Practice 2: Rest and Release Tension

Yoga is not only about movement. This supported chair variation of Savasana gives you a way to pause, soften, and experience restorative rest.

Bonus Practice 3: Care for Your Hands and Wrists

Your hands work hard every day. These gentle movements offer a little attention and care to stiff fingers and wrists.

Optional Bonus: Seated Sun Salutation

Use this when you want a brief seated practice that connects movement with your breath.

Can an Online Class Really Feel Personal?

Yes, it can.

Hear from students who have discovered that practicing online can still offer genuine encouragement, friendship, and connection.

You deserve more than an exercise video you complete alone and forget about.

You deserve a practice you can return to, a teacher who sees you, and people who are happy when you arrive.

There is power in practicing in community.
